Express Scripts Canada has administrative, pharmacy, and customer-service operations throughout Canada. Its parent company, Express Scripts, Inc., a Fortune 50 company operating out of St. Louis, Missouri, continues to expand its services with a mission to make the use of prescription drugs safer and more affordable.
Since its inception in 1996, Express Scripts Canada has aligned its interests with those of plan sponsors and their members. This legacy of independence means that the company's programs and original research is focused on the development of health benefits to serve the current and emerging needs of clients. Flexible and comprehensive, Express Scripts Canada’s claims adjudication system allows providers to adjudicate dental, health-care, and pharmacy claims for traditional and flexible benefit plans, including those with health-care spending accounts. This system is designed to meet the claims-adjudication needs of insurers and third-party administrators.
In November 2011, Express Scripts Canada introduced a new business model that offers health-benefits plan sponsors a better way to manage their maintenance prescription drug benefit through its expanded PBM service, which includes home delivery of maintenance prescription medications from the Express Scripts Canada Pharmacy. This service does not require a plan sponsor to change insurance carriers and is designed to be complementary to services currently provided by insurance carriers.
Express Scripts Canada is committed to developing products and solutions that make it easier to generate the best possible health outcomes at the lowest possible cost. Its Code of Conduct guides the actions of every employee as they strive to achieve this mission in every aspect of Express Scripts Canada's business.
